It's daily routine for us to have a cup of coffee or tea, but did you know that there are a lot of amazing things about that humble cup of coffee or tea?

During their respective long histories, both coffee and tea have lead to personal and international conflicts, been treated like national treasures and  become an integral part of life.

In Turkey, for example, the bridegrooms were once required to make a promise during their wedding ceremonies to always provide their new wives with coffee. If they failed to do so, it was grounds for divorce!

In America, the Boston Tea Party was a significant event leading up to the American revolution. On the evening of December 16, 1773, a group American colonist calling themselves the "Sons of Liberty" went to the Boston Harbor and destroyed many crates of tea. They were protesting against Great Britain's decision to tax the colonies despite a lack of representation in the Westminster Parliament.

Amazing isnít it, how coffee and tea influence people's life. Interested to know more? Find out here!
